My local schteel and hoosky dealers are *a-holes. I gave up with them unless I need something stupid. There is bob but he’s over 2 hours away and another decent dealer, but far as well.

For those of you that question why @Mastermind only does New saws, here’s some hints.

The oiler gear wire is worn to point of non engagement. Even if it hadn’t been, the AM drum isn’t deep enough to engage it anyway.

The Dawg is AM (no big deal-but annoying).

The muff is hacked up. I hate front outlets. I plan to block front with a 90* tab that also blocks the flywheel side Ex outlet in the muff body. Then a @Red97 deflector on the flywheel side. That way, the exhaust gasses are forced to swirl, which will reduce sound but not affect performance.

Then there is the “good piston” that’s anything but good.

Beware who you buy from fellas.

Also, the piston had a bent C clip holding the pin in. It was a disaster waiting to happen. No way it was gonna hold for long.

All of these repairs cause a lot of headaches and wasted time. The owner is a friend, so it takes the sting outa it a bit.

When I saw the poor workmanship, I split the case and added new bearings, seals and gaskets. The bearings were oem and actually good. The gaskets and seals all AM.

Ms 880 build new crank came in 50 days on order

Waiting on muff to come back from shawn
I got a piston bearing gasket and whole saw going to well know molester of juggs

I wont get it back untill oct

Well I'm not gonna sit here and hide, I sold that saw. Now in my defense, the saw had a bunch of new parts some oem some aftermarket including a new piston. Here is a pic from my ad after several tanks.

I see nothing wrong with it! Also I have used many Oregon drums and AM parts in my opinion things like gaskets are just fine. I know nothing of the broken oil cap or stripped muffler bolt. I would like to think the owner of this saw would know if there was and issue with the saw I would have worked with him. I thought that was obvious after our discussions.
2 thinks chap my ass about this first being that the owner never contacted me. But I have no hard feelings with him. Second how this place has turned into a bash fest. Me and my family have been self employed for a long time and I was always told to not bash another man's work that is between him and the customer. I'm guessing the majority of you won't give me the time of day but for a few of you that I have had good conversations with over the past couple years I say thanks and I hope you know I wouldn't screw anyone on purpose.
