Installed a hyway 390 topend. Saw also got oem... rings, flywheel side seal, circlips and piston pin bearing. New oem fuel line and filter too. Minor casting flash cleanup and port matching. The lowers were already matched good to the base. Overall I thought cylinder looked good. Base gasket delete was possible, used 1184. Black coil and tilly carb, a tad ignition advance and muffler mod. Haven’t fired it but compression already feels good.

It’s alive!!! Probably gonna have to do seals cuz when I tip it to the starter side while it’s idling the rpms change some. Cleaned up well also

Pro sticker is there because I had a better filter cover from a pro 026

Trying to figure out which piston for my next hybrid.

54mm BB with a 288 piston, 52mm with 046 piston or 272 piston.

Heaviest is the 288, followed by the 046, then the 272.

With a titanium pin and some taken off the crown, the 272 slug is nearly 20 grams lighter than a stock 046 piston. I think I made my choice.

I like going with the lightest, but I'm just not a single ring fan, but that is just me. Offset gaps just make more sense to me.

What does a 440 piston weigh, for comparison. Since you are using a 440 crank, I would get as close to that as possible.
