Trying to get this 576xp up and running. Got it fired up today. Will be tearing it down a little and put a new piston in it along with some small parts and a less dented muffler.

This is a 25.00 372 huztl big bore kit the plating looks identical to a hyway kit i used before and the ring is stamped hy.
Anybody bought a hyway if so does it look like this one
I'm just curios i don't have a hyway onhand to check.
Runs great I've been trying it out this evening.20170417_170222.jpg

Look inside the piston, Hyway has a big H cast into it.

View attachment 66017 View attachment 66018 View attachment 66021 View attachment 66022 Nothing wrong with how this 930 ran, but that's why I took it apart ;). No porting but did a few mild things to wake it up. Check out the hackjob the previous owner did to fix broken flywheel pawl stop. I don't trust that at 13k rpm. It got replaced with a 910 flywheel that is identical. View attachment 66023Check out the size of this flywheel. Giant for a saw. 056 magnum 2 for scale behind it.
I see you're learning the skills of bench organization early on in life Mason.

That flywheel is fixable if you want it to be Mason. Just bring it to the gtg.

I have ten saws that need to be test driven........then packaged up and shipped.

I've been googling "how to clone yourself" today, but ain't really finding any solid info.

Sounds good in theory... but I think you would probably kill each other. Lol

Thanks never noticed when i assembled it i ordered two more pistons 2.93 apiece with ring lol
I will check them.

I just checked the only Hyway piston that I have here, and nothing on it or the ring. If my memory could be trusted, I would say that I have seen the hy on the rings before, but could not swear to it 100%. If I knew that there was going to be a test I would have studied harder. Lol
Would speculate the difference between old and new stock.

Keep in mind the cheap stuff often tries to impersonate higher quality stuff by using any means they can get away with.

But sometimes they also just source from what is available.

I ordered a MS 460 carb from Huztl one time and got an actual ZAMA carb, so I quickly ordered another and got a no name that looked inferior (I have not used it).

This is not the first indication from FarmerTec selling other branded parts, I had a 272 cylinder with the Tecomec logo on it. Was a great cylinder, but what goes on I don't know. Either they are doing the manufacturing or are just parts sourcing what they can sell. Whatever it is they swear they are the manufacturer, surely the Chinese wouldn't lie to us would they? Whichever way you look at it one way or the other they are doing just exactly that.

Awesome I'll bring it, I didn't throw it away as parts for these saws are impossible to find

Huskys are easier to work on than Stihls, fact.
