Ok.....I got the axle out. @dall 's idea didn't work, inner cv joint just slid apart.
I pried on it with a 2' bar, no joy. Then I ground a couple of pieces of rebar to make a wedge. Just a few taps, and she popped right out.
The van is repaired. Two new wheel bearings, and a new passenger side axle.

Couple of very nice looking huskys right there. Call me crazy but I have to admit that I really like the orange and gray on the newer huskys. That 550 is a sexy little saw.

I prefer those Huskies with orange clutch cover, special on 550Something I'd like to see sometime is one of these new orange and gray huskys with a orange clutch cover and a set of dual dolmar startrek spikes in black. I think it would look bad azz!
