Right now I have a Stihl 041 that I've been working on for awhile, 150 compression, good spark, rebuilt carb, still won't run. I checked the ign. with a timing light and it's right on the mark. It'll pop a few times but that's it. I squirt fuel mix into the carb and it just hits a few times and dies, sounds kinda rich even though I have no fuel in the tank. I've gassed it up and it does the same thing. I'm wondering if it's possible to stop up the muffler enough that it won't run..

It could be. Can you run it for a min without it ? Otherwise the carb is maybe the prob. Fuel filter ok. Got impulse up to the carb?

Just moved a ms170 off that's now running great and now have a mini mac 6 on the table. Haven't had time to gas her yet just bough a new plug but I'm thinking she may fire right up. After that I have a Poulan model 68 now saw lined up. Reportedly no spark so I'm going to find her spark.

Cut today. It's a KS non decomp, so I added a Stihl Elastostart. I'm hoping the Stihl OEM part infects it with reliability.

The Husky stopped cause screws came loose and fell out and I forgot to bring the magnet tray

Blue Loctite is as essential as alll of the different tools you need to assemble.

When I do a Stihl, I have one torx wrench on my bench. With a husky, my bench looks like the tool table at a garage sale.
