That's awesome I bet you will get it cleaned up super nice and give it a great home and that will be so cool for him just to see it run againStihl 030AV. A pilot friend has been telling me he was going to bring it to me for at least a year. It was his dad’s and has been sitting in the same place in his shop since his dad died in 1983. He said his dad bought it new and rarely used it. I looked it up and it’s sorta rare. It was only made one year , 1970-71. I figured I’d at least make him an offer on it. When I called him and asked what his plans for the saw was he said “I thought I’d give it to you!”
I was blown away. View attachment 450842View attachment 450843View attachment 450844
And yes, I noticed the chain was on backwards. He claims to know nothing about it.

Nice cub cadet, I almost choked seeing the new hf engine where an old Kohler should be and part of the hood cut tho. The predators don't actually seem too bad for the money from what I hear, but I could never bring myself to put one in a vintage machine like that. I'm currently rebuilding the original Kohler k161 for my Ih cub cadet 70.Got the bottom end of the 51 together and then cleared the driveway. The old cub 108 with the 13hp HF engine i put together back in 2020 is still going strong. This snow that we got last night through this morning mixed with the slush already on the ground and became like half setup concrete
