Replaced the fuel line on a early ms290,, saw has sat for 20yrs. Near zero use,, had never been sharpened.
Bro was gifted it for helping a ailing fellow.
Runs good now.

Spun a loop and swapped tips yesterday. Already had my Tsumura mounted, so stayed with that. Got around 2 cords bucked, split and stacked.

Unfortunately my work area is RCA based, so even .404 Semichisel cried uncle.

Picked this one up along with another 041AV and two 051s with 404 bars for a little under $40 each.
Those others will nap under the bench for a while. I have big jobs coming in and I only have time to play with this one for now.
I expect it's gonna need a piston.
Any leads?

Found a few 041, 44mm non super.
Hiway also makes one.
HL Supply has the Cross performance P&C kits....not sure if the piston is available by itself...
some chineseium pistons on Amazon too.

picked up a Chinese RA handpiece a while back I've been meaning to try out. my kids RM85 top end had to come apart so I took the opportunity to touch up the ports


for comparison #30, srcarr52 contra piece, Chinese RA




flex shaft is a tight fit, might need to open the hand piece a tad
uses those triangular spanner wrenches to tighten the collet. annoying
3mm collet. meh, maybe I can bring it to 1/8th
will probably add some shrink tubing

I guess overall so far so good. haven't stripped the gears yet for whatever that's worth after light work on just one cylinder.

Life has been crazy the past couple months. Finally got some time in the shop this weekend to tear down a 359 and run everything through the USC. Got a chance this morning to start putting it back together. I will probably put this up for sale when it is done.

140 PSI and good spark. I'll give it a good cleaning, make sure everything is right, and put it on the "For Sale" rack.

046 fixed, I get to test out the exhaust theory on leaving the baffle with a big hole drilled in it.
