Score! She’s clean! I love a good barn find and shining her up. Oh and 130 for that is pretty much free no matter where you are. Good job!$130 ...you know...in Alaska....that's almost free .
Cleaned up nice. No issues. Runs perfect.
Women…no sense of humor I tell yaIt's Not on the bench... it's on the table. I THOUGHT I had enough time before my girl got home.... well, I didn't and she wasn't happy! Sadly enough, the crank rolled off of the table hit the floor... I checked it between centers... and YUP... had to dial it in this morning... now, it's about to get tig welded.
I’ve bought 2 026s for other people, I couldn’t imagine running a 20 on it. The 026 I got that Al ported may be ok with 20 but I still wouldn’t do it.Scored this today.... Cheap! Runs good. No apparent carnage. Even came with a decent 20" 3/8 .050 bar....Almost all my chain is .050".... Standardization and stuffs. I'm excited to clean it! does that make me weird?
what do you run on it?I’ve bought 2 026s for other people, I couldn’t imagine running a 20 on it. The 026 I got that Al ported may be ok with 20 but I still wouldn’t do it.
I saw that and thought the same. 20” 3/8’s on a stock 026 is quite the load. But different strokes for different folks.I’ve bought 2 026s for other people, I couldn’t imagine running a 20 on it. The 026 I got that Al ported may be ok with 20 but I still wouldn’t do it.
Both of my buddies run 18s. I run a 16 on my 261 and planning on a 20 on the ms400 I just bought.what do you run on it?

Agreed. The ad said 026, 18" bar....was really surprised to find a 20"...with 3/8 full chisel! Power aside, it makes it unbalanced, nose heavy. Meh...I saw that and thought the same. 20” 3/8’s on a stock 026 is quite the load. But different strokes for different folks.
Meh, they do ok with a 20. I like a 16 on them myself, but in a pinch they can pull a 20 or 25.I’ve bought 2 026s for other people, I couldn’t imagine running a 20 on it. The 026 I got that Al ported may be ok with 20 but I still wouldn’t do it.
Yeah! I was gonna ask if that was going on the 044!
I wish mine ran that strongMeh, they do ok with a 20. I like a 16 on them myself, but in a pinch they can pull a 20 or 25.
The 261 truly can handle a 20, but they are a much bigger saw.
You must’ve thought you caught a big one when your line got caught on that!Before/after

Shindaiwa 550 crank. Never thought it could be salvaged...so badly seized I had to beat on it to even get the piston off

The exterior wasn’t bad, gave no indication of what was insideYou must’ve thought you caught a big one when your line got caught on that!
