Recently continued on with this old Cub project I started about 7 yrs ago that got put on the back burner shortly after starting because life happens. Dug it out of the shed and after some cutting, welding, lifting an engine in n out repeatedly, smashing fingers, bleeding, degreasing, sanding and painting, it's starting to take shape. Got the engine, clutch and driveline all aligned and tightened down tonight.

Went back n forth in my mind for a few days on this but decided to just do it. Since Cubs drive off the flywheel side, I decided to make a jig and pin the crank. Crank snout has a 6° angle. Figured it can't hurt to take a little stress off that little factory woodruff key

Has some nasty old bar oil all over it, was a bugger to clean.

Scored a nice little piece of equipment today. Local guy bought a rundown house full of junk and today I started fixing the inside up to be a rental property. He was gonna pitch it in the trash with other junk and said take it if you want it. Not sure if I'll ever use it but couldn't let it go to a landfill. Bearings roll nice and smooth. Dial indicator works nice and smooth.

Decided to go back into a JRed 2165 that was my first porting job with a RA tool. I ended cutting the squish & base an additional 0.020”. I never touched the intake the first time, so I went ahead widened it a little and squared up the floor. Also raised the secondaries a bit.

Got this 119 almost done. Need a few nuts to hold the air filter down. Using another ps540 intake and 120 super top cover let's me use the 120 super air filter which works much better than the 119 style.
