The spring keeper was missing from the intake side of the piston pin , consequently the pin could walk out.20220131_183601.jpg 20220131_183539.jpg 20220131_183617.jpg 20220131_183513.jpg
As you can see in the exhaust port the chrome never peeled off the cylinder, it was just dented in, a real testament to its durability.
It's been cleaned and sanded ,I think that I'll probably use it?
By the way if anyone sees the missing pin ring please comment ( I doubt that it was even installed).

Finished up dad's buddy's Yard Machines 5/22 snowblower. Installed an aftermarket adjustable carburetor from Amazon. Got it running and carb adjusted. Set top no load rpm to right around 3500. Blew some hard packed frozen snow with it and it did great. Changed the oil and got the key stop switch working again. Good to go. Waiting for buddy Mike to get here and we're finishing up his Troy Bilt 27 ton log splitter.

No pics but another 056 Mag II is on my bench, it has a new coil and an intermittent spark issue, I need to get it fixed for my buddy. I also have a P61 with a near-new 655BP top end on it that I picked up for a guy on AS and a 32" Stihl bar that needs a new tip.

Have a clean 064 survivor saw on my bench. Ported an 066 jug for it, but then got a good look at the stock KS 064 jug and decided to go with that.

Cannot understand what made Stihl go with these big sloppy uppers in the 066/660.

I’ll save the 66 jug for another day.
