Wow. TY. Does the K&N filter attach securely to the 462? Or just rubber seal?

Desktop computers is what I have been messing with lately.

IMG_20200920_152752.jpg

I am giving one final upgrade to my old faithful self assembled desktop PC (the one in the background), 24% higher clocked CPU (same architecture), more RAM (4GB as it is a 32bit system which does not recognize more) and a SSD system disk.
I can not ditch this PC, I have nostalgic feelings for it, it is "mine"! :enamorado:
It is an old single core 478 socket Pentium 4 Northwood running DDR400 and a AGP8x graphics card. :)

The other two are a couple years younger but still quite aged, I got them to up the ante a little. ;)
Both are getting CPU and RAM upgrades, as well as SSD system disks.
I may give them graphic card upgrades since they feature on board graphics, but I need to be humble with it and watch the power consumption as I am stuck with the power supplies they feature due to both of them being proprietary HP Compaq computers. The big tower PC will receive a humble graphic card for testing, the SFF (Small Form Factor) PC will most likely stay utilizing the on board graphic card as it is a very small and compact housing and I do not want to push the PC's boundaries regarding power consumption and heat dissipation.
The small SFF PC will get a Core2Duo E8500@3.16GHz/6MB cache/1333FSB out of the big tower, and the big tower is receiving a Core2Quad Q9550@2.83GHz/12MB cache/1333FSB.

Messing with computers these past couple weeks brought back some good memories, but also reminded me why I stopped doing it.

A Seagate Maxtor Z1 and an ADATA SU650 SSD disk ready for performance testing before they get loaded with an OS.
Both are budget SSD disks so that I do not expect extreme performance.
The Z1 is the most affordable SSD currently available on the Croatian market, both are 240GB.

Finished my 350/346 build.
OE 346 cylinder, you think compression is ok for this chassi? Sanded squish to smooth it out and cut the base at work. Ported by myself.

Then little guys are fine with that much compression. The small bores like it, and they have more proportionate cooling than the larger bore saws.

For the smaller displacement saws, the tip of the tester and oil in the cylinder will give a higher percentage false high readings than the bigger guys. Make sure the tester tip is the same length as the plug and test after the first run. I have to stop pulling at 250 sometimes when they are oiled, then they come down into the 230 range.

Edit. I see you have a plastic cased saw. I guess you’ll find out.

Thanks, sounds good! I will give it a try and test compression after a couple tanks. I hope the cases will last I have about 30 beetle killed spruces to take down this fall/winter. Should give the saw a proper testing.

Took me 12 minutes this afternoon to disassemble a 372xp OE for porting changes. Not sure I can do any other saw as fast other than maybe a 044/046 or 390xp which is just a big bore 372. The newer strato type saws sure take a lot more time to do than these older ones that’s for sure. E3F97D7B-D173-424E-AF31-FE1593D2F2BD.jpeg

This will be tonight. Picked up for $30 from a co-worker. Pulls over smoothly with compression. Gonna see if it will pop off on mix down the carb.
