very strange
No one wants to see the bottom side of that picture believe me. I got pranked by a guy at work, and that picture was the end result. Lmao, you don't wanna see it.

I change out the elastostarts on stihls when they wear out the rope for a husky 455 rancher handle (the black jonsered version). I happened to have a hyway one. The grip is more comfortable on the husky handle, its larger. You can get 4 fingers around it instead of 2 or 3 on stihl handle. It makes starting the saw easier and looks better than the goofy looking elasto handle imo. E5747304-5559-40AA-9DB9-0CEC7BA358EE.jpeg

Funny thing...I am opposite. Everything gets an elasto, and moast of the decomps are plugged on the 50-60’s. I really hate clanking the starter hardware on hi comp engines.

Same although myself I don't own any saw's that could be called hard to pull over/start all have stock compression my 270 is only saw I closed up the squish on.
Only thing I find hard to pull over and start is like my 5kva generator them things suck to pull start lol

I'm with Duane, all my saws have Elastostart handles. I like the larger size of the handle (fits my hand better) and the little cushion that it provides.

Although I like decomps on all my saws, and generally don't use them for cold starting as it just results in addl pulls. But, IMO, they do make things easy for warm starts.

Buddy's 345. Cleaned and disassembled. Updating it to the metal intake clamp as well. Clutch was a b*#ch to get off. Good used OEM clutch on the way.
