You are correct my friend! Hope mine sounds and runs better with this one I made!MS361 has to have the worst muffler of any saw I’ve worked on.
I’m not sure why they intentionally choked this saw down so badly.
I went right through the front cover on one trying to get the baffle out.

with you saying the bearing was bad I thought maybe the worm gear arm came out of the groove on the drum or the arm was messed upGreat video I found on a 250 oiler
You ended up being right there was a f’n hole in the case where the oiler was. I melted it shut, oiler works again. Must been air getting into the system.with you saying the bearing was bad I thought maybe the worm gear arm came out of the groove on the drum or the arm was messed up

The ms260 was easy. Just a chain sharpening, filter cleaning with general check over and a few test cuts to make sure the tune was good. Here's what i get to fix forView attachment 200075farwood season
I got a 288 coming in that has been at a couple different shops. The ms260 was easy. Just a chain sharpening, filter cleaning with general check over and a few test cuts to make sure the tune was good.
The ms250 had a pinched vent hose and the servicing dealer that had rebuilt the carb had used a metering lever spring that was way to strong. I swapped it out with a softer spring from my bucket of misc carb parts and it tuned and ran pretty good.
Now I get to play with the big dog
Stihl 25” bar compared to oregon husky 24” bar. Both take same DL count. Thought that was interesting. No wonder the slot needs to be lengthened when mounted to a husky/dolmar. View attachment 200261View attachment 200263 View attachment 200264 Husky bar on top, stihl bar on bottom. View attachment 200265 I also had to lengthen the slot on a cannon 28” 91 DL stihl mount bar to fit a 395 with the adapter as well.
Yes drill the adjuster slightly bigger on stihl branded bars to fit husky saws. The cannon bar adjuster hole does not need to be drilled. It’s annoying monkeying around with this stuff, but it turns out nice in the end having one bar that fits stihl and husky saws. Saves $.Did you have to make the hole for the chain adjuster any bigger? I have one I'm trying to use on a 576 and the dang adjuster on that one wont fit in my stihl bar. Did know if it was just that model of husky or if this was the case with all of them.
