Picked up a 575 from a guy to fix
He made me take all the other saws.
I only wanted the 50 to do a 028 super
Piston in.
Most all of them run20190818_162731.jpg
The poulan top handle looks new.
Dealer said the 575 he had bought new there wasn't worth fixing
So he bought another new 575.
I missed the bar's he had already gave away the 2 new 24" bar's
And chain's that came on the 575s
He only runs 20"

The last saw I worked on (yesterday) was a Stihl 011avt, previous owner had removed the carburetor and didn't get the throttle cable back on right. I also noticed it had a broken reed valve which I assume was the reason saw wasn't running right in the first place. I replaced it also with one from my spare parts can...

Mac 1-46. Trying to check for spark for a fella interested in this barn find but i dont know how the plug cap comes off properly. Seems to be a brass stud/ retainer that holds it on. Any thiughts besides a hammer and chisel?:Dimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

At this moment my bench is occupied by my Homelite model 17.
Mechanically the saw is very sound and except for the bar, cylinder cover and recoil cover she looks complete. The carb was working somewhat but ordered a new gasket kit from Joe at SCS and now just waiting for it to arrive!
