Still need a gromet for the carb adjustment screws. Top cover is going to be Hydro dipped. This saw is completely stock and going to a local tree service. Owners brother has his own Hydro dipping business. Rest of the saw came out pretty nice

Got the 285 today and tore the tank from the cases and cleaned it all up, installed a new grommet and fuel line and filter, fired on the first pull, still need to work on the carb as it has a governer on it.

Yeah I was thinking of keeping it looking stock just open up the holes underneath a little bigger maybe. Probably end up w a 2100 topend on it.

Finished up the trouble 372 last night, have it running good, need to test in some wood! Put a big bore top end with caber ring.

394 I finished today, I did the bottom end, and added a new starter pulley, rope and dual ported the muffler, the case had a small piece missing on the flywheel side that just looked like it was made for.another outlet. Run it tomorrow. If the interested party decides they want it ported then I get to do that too

A co-worker brought this in. Asked if I could give it a tune up and sharpen the blade..



And, yes, he was using it with the chain like that..
How, I dont know, unless your real easy on the throttle, it dies off idle..
