View attachment 175812 Bush hog ZTR with blown head gasket. A lot of creative repairs on this thing and been rode hard.

I have lost track of how many of those I have done head gaskets on. Make sure you get the upgraded head gasket kit (Kohler P/N 24 841 04-S), and I highly recommend you do both sides while you are in there. I also normally send the heads to the machine shop to have them re-surfaced and a valve job done; you would be amazed how much they warp from being torqued down and then taken off. It is already apart, now is the time to do it.

Thanks for the info. Normally I would do both but cust just wants the one done. Will surface the head on glass with Emery and just hand lap the valves. Cust has had this thing to 3 different places. One guy changed coils. One the carb other said he thinks a head gasket and not worth fixing. Took me 10 mins to diagnose and I am just a hack with a screwdriver.

Need a lil help. I now have three Tillotson HT carburetors that have a cracked or leaking fuel inlet elbow.

This does not appear as a serviceable part??

How is this not serviceable or is it? These are a little too valuable for paper weights. Anyone have a replacement part number or a crafty fix?
