Yep. S'all good. We ate chicken tonight for supper. Ribs tomorrow night. I'll freeze 1 or 2 racks of cooked ribs for next time if we don't eat them by Monday or Tuesday. Well make chicken soup this week with leftovers

The game plan no doubt my friend...no groceries go to waste. That's my ticket around here as well as much as I smoke/grill the groceries.

Got his ass dialed in at 225 degs..right now he's at 224. Gonna catch a little shut eye for a couple of hours...check back in on the deal here in a few hours.

First smoke of the year today. It's supposed to be 60 this weekend.


Depending how the spirit moves I may throw a hog on there tomorrow.
We have one that will not grow. He's probably 80#. I can't see the guy going to waste so I may butcher him today and smoke him tomorrow if mum doesn't already have plans.

Talk about a cork soaker...friggin' raining on my Butt parade. But the Traeger hasn't waivered one bit yet...stepped it up to 250 degs a little while ago, he's a shining at 249 in the rain. Hopefully this chit will get outta here directly, that's what the weather guessers have planned anyhoo.

If the piggy ain't growing and you got decent temps Ross, I'd be getting the guts outta that pork too. If your smoker will accommodate the poundage, I'd be a smokin' fool with that little piggy. Be some fine eats.

A few years ago, I was working on some data circuits for NOAA in St Louis. I asked the forecasters how they predicted the local weather. They showed me all of the Gee Whiz equipment and explained how it worked. Then they told me that the most accurate method was to take the steps to the top of the radar tower and look at the sky to the West. They were serious. Weather guesser is accurate.

Looking sweet fellas...I'm impressed with the Traeger Pro 34 so far. Temps are spot on even through the piddling rain we just had. I'm thinking mid-afternoon I'm gonna be pulling some ass and grubbin' on something.

Mind you fellas, these two Butts are both fat cap up this time on the Traeger...keeping em' pumped down with the apple juice/vinegar/water spray bottle about every 45 mins or so. Lift that lid, get their asses pumped down quick and get the lid closed immediately. The ol' saying...'if you looking, you ain't a cookin'n' theory. Don't complicate things...let the smoker do the work for ya.

The two 8lb Boston Butts will net you about 12lbs of pure shredded and pulled pleasure. I ate four sammies, now snacking on some grapes, strawberries, and Gouda cheese. I don't think I'll last much longer...eyes are getting heavy, stomach getting full.
