If anyone is near a kroger's or king sooper out west
They had baby back ribs for 5 and 6.00
I bought some
And baked them for 4 hour's at 300*IMG_20210208_200611.jpg
And finished them with Carolina mustard sauce.
Better than any restaurant around here sells.

Late supper tonight. Mamas home made vegetable soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. View attachment 282053
On a cold night there's not much better than a bowl of hot vegetable soup and a grilled cheese. Simple food that gets you right with the world.
Looks damn tasty Charlie.

Provel.
It's a combination of white Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone that melts really well.
You don't see it much outside of St. Louis. It has a slightly smoky flavor.

Sorry to change the subject. I need you guys to recommend a grinder for sausage. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

I have a LEM #12 Big Bite. It's been flawless.
I looked at several others before I got the LEM.
The units from Waltons and Cabela's also look to be well made.
The #12 is middle of the road in production speed. I generally don't grind more than 25#-30# at a time and it's plenty fast.
I also invested in a foot switch. When stuffing ground meat into bags, it makes things a lot easier.
Charlie, @amberg , has been making sausage for years, he steered me to the LEM. It was good advice!

We've been using LEM products for years mostly for processing our deer. The grinder is their 1-1/2hp unit. I will agree the foot pedal is very convenient. I've heard good things about the #5 and #12 as well.

Supper early this evening here...scarfed down three Popeyes chicken sandwiches, two classics and a spicy. Typical 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of milk went right down with ‘em.
