leaving your gaff at home and a good fish spitting the hook at you when you try to drag it over the side of the yak. #triggered.
I'll get the bastard tomorrow. #retribution.

I never bring a camera offshore because I figure I'll only catch a nice fish if I don't have a camera to prove it!

Did that with the damn NET one time

and had to lift a 9# flounder over the gunnel on braid!

Fat tune and dull chain is what I hate the most. Filter pics are overrated. No one needs air filters anyway

The reason a certain member (cough) always asks for filter pics, is he think's if people do not show pics of the air filter in a for sale thread, that they are trying to hide something, and screw someone over. Anyone can slap new covers on a saw, and make it look good, and hide sins, I was told....

But if you show a pic of the air filter, well.....that just tells you everything....Lmao

Just what I was told. Don't shoot the messenger.

How making a post on a public forum, considered stalking?

I'm pretty sure I made a post on the 1st or 2nd page of this thread, signed in this morning, and saw all kinds of updates, so I quoted a member and hit reply.

Ok then. Here's a few for any of you snowed in up there.

I was on a retribution mission this morning. Was glassy first thing but wind predicted to blow by 9am, so on the water by sunrise:

Chasing the head honcho I lost yesterday but only found its younger and smaller brothers and sisters:

Still, it was fun and some quiet time-out which is welcome. Yes, that's my world famous in New Zealand BIC ballpoint pen lure doing the damage again, and again, and again...

*editing to add* I just hit the send button and the postie turned up with me new fishfinder:

so...

That reminds me of a bluefish...do you have bluefish in New Zealand? Our bluefish have big nasty teeth that will bite your fingers down to the bone...

We even catch them on a similar lure, that we call a "Got-Cha" lure (they have a lead head and cast a good long ways for when the chopper blues are tearing up the water on the surface):

I looked at the bar and chain. No paint left on the bar and it looked like you had put a torch on it. Chain had no teeth left.

I was at a Stihl dealer and this bloke had a saw just like that on the counter. I thought the dealer would say something, perhaps show him a bit about sharpening and then sell him some files - nope.

I wanted to step in and offer some advice, but decided against it. - I think the dealer was looking to sell the bloke a new saw very soon.

I get triggered by crappy dealers.

Sadly, no taylors/bluefish or jewfish here in NZ. What we call kahawai (in the photo above) here is what you call aus salmon there. Thanks for the lure info. I do intend to try red heads but have a long list of lures to experiment with first. Would really like to try and find/make a bigger version of the BIC pen lure. I get a kick out of DIY, but am not sure what I could make the body from that's easily accessible and cheap.

I was at the Stihl dealer at two different occasions and had a chuckle. Not to make fun at different ethnic groups but. Chinese looking guy with skinny arms wanted to return saw he bought because he couldn’t start it. End up saying I want same one he got. I had just bought an ms 291 with the easy start. Second time at the second dealer different guy with same complaint owner freaked out went to all the saws on display and picked up and pulled starters on all saying see the are all the same. Never showed him the easy start models. Saying to customer not my problem your a skinny twit.
