Get something you hate and sell it. Then you can help me help Randy get this truck to it's new home. Heck, maybe all of you could help. Wife wants this deuce project in Tennessee sooner rather than latter and I don't have a gooseneck trailer. Surely you could help him out.

I maybe missing something here, but why would you not want the Ms261cm @Jon1212 ....you know with it being a Stihl, it won't be hard to sell, if you don't like it....

That's kind of the way I was leaning, but I wanted to get some feedback from those that have used the 241-261 saws. Also, I can get a lot of the Stihl line, and accessories, including ES Light bars, Kombi system's, edgers, trimmers, pruners, blowers, etc.

Good deal, your in a great position my friend!!!!

I hear guys say the 241 is great too....I just made a thread asking opinions on the 261 a week or so ago, a lot of good responses!!!!

Of course the other stuff is intriguing too!!!!

Good luck man, let us know which you pick!!!

I've had a pre-mtronic MS261 since 2011. I did what I do nowadays and shaved off the castings widened the ports but nothing extreme just opened everything up including a gasket matched exhaust. I recommend it even stock but mtronic would be a plus I suspect. That saw has been from root level to 95' tree tops for six years from 16" to 20 " .325 RS and it is the saw everyone fights over all day.

If you could have only one saw to get ya by it would be the MS261 there's just nuthin like it. An M-tronic version would be so sweet but mine is also sweet so I never upgraded that part. 100% Brush Ape approved.

I go on a limb too... the M-tronic 362 would be just as good. I had an early version and didn't care for the filtration. I reamed Stihl's ass till they upgraded to a canister filter. Thank me later it's not the first time they screwed me out of a good idea. Takin' one for the team like I done with the other teams cheerleaders way back then.

I was very disappointed in the 261 vs 2 I had. I had really hoped it would be all the hype had talked it up to be, ends up, at the end of the day it's just a good running 50cc saw. I would like to run one that had some work done to it, but I haven't.
Stock for stock I'd get a 550.

Well let's here it chipper....what turned you off about the Vll 261....was it mtronic or standard carb....

I am curious because I tossed around the idea of getting a Ms261 or a 550.....it turns out I may be getting a 550 to rebuild....I have never ran a "pro" husky saw as there aren't many in my area....I have been told by guys that are not brand dependent that the 550 may take me to the dark side LOL....

I'll post in your thread real quick.
I can say it has nothing to do with the mtronic as I like the system and have not experienced any problems with it yet and feel they have gotten the bugs out of it already as well as the autotune, I'd buy either if they are newer saws.

I didn't realize I asked about a 550XP..... Also, if you read multiple posts(especially my original post), I am asking about brand new saws.

@Jon1212 Any interest or thoughts on the pressure washers? Not the new crazy gas powered ones but the more reasonable electric ones?

I need something for around the house and know nothing about them.
