Both need more carb.

I do have a question was there ever a time when they were a dual open port, I always thought they were quad open ports but I have one that looks like a ms250 but it's a dual port. Very confusing.:eyepop:

025 was a dual port open.

Look at the ex port, then follow the path to your outlet.

Make a hole straight to the hole in the inner section of the muffler

215 will function great, but leaves a lot of performance on the table.

Need to tidy it up a little.

Did you do anything with the squish ? I have heard of guys welding pop ups but also milling the jug and recutting the bearing pockets.

In the past I have. But was not worth 10 pounds of comp and heavy piston.
Just make it a better pump and it'll produce more rpm's and power.
Ex. is high on the 025's. I'd be interested to see if stihl lowered it on the 250's.

He grinded on an 025. It rips with a nice chain. Based on what I have seen with his, yes, it is worth grinding on.
Thomas, do you have any vid of Sam's 023 or Levi's 025 racing?
I can't find anything.
