Yeah.

Really curious what other guys like, though. I cut all softwood and my favorite firewood saw is 68cc and wears a 24" 7-pin full comp.

I like a 16" 8-pin or 20" 7-pin on a 60cc saw.

I am surprised by the popularity of the 18"

A 361 is the only 60cc saw ive ran with 18" and the balance is tits , im sure it is on other 60cc saws as well ... its fun to cut small firewood logs with that size bar and an 8 pin.

My local saw shop has a wrap handle 562 sitting on the shelf, and it's equipped with a 28" bar. I'm really not sure why.

Bigger bars sell saws to people that don't know any better. Doesn't matter if it can pull it.

Big bars are "western"

Truth be told, a 28" skip chain has the same number of cutters as a 16" full comp. Way more drag on the 32 extra drivers, though.

I ran a 20" on my 562 most of the time but I have ran a 25" with no problems. Honestly in my opinion I'd stick with a 20". I like my 044 with a 25"

I really enjoyed using my 036 pro with a 20" "blade". Lol. Then it got stolen out of my shed.

I did get it back today though!! Saw it at a pawn shop a couple weeks ago, and called the popo..quite excited to get it back. May have to send it out for some porting :)

I use a 20" and a 24" both work very well with 3/8 7 tooth. Thought about try 8 Tooth with the 20"

I run mainly 25 inch bars on my collection of MS361 saws with full comp chain. Never had any real problems with that setup, even in black and white oak here. One 361 that I had came with an 18, but that was a waste of torque. I put that bar and chain on a MS310 saw that I later sold.

Another 18-20" guy here.

I can get most/all of my work done here with that.

I typically run 16" on my 036. But then I'm short (5'9"). Runs a 20" nicely when I need a bit more bar.

My 357 came with a 20", 3/8, 7-pin. I've stuck with that combo and it works just dandy for me, very capable for 60% of what I do. Never really felt the need to go longer or shorter.
