What oil is best? and what ratio?

Mike Stihl Tech told me 90 on start, 90 on run, and then loaded cuts to recalibrate? Ive heard just 90 on start and then cut and then the way I just stated

90 on start is what the manual showed. I didn't reset it. Just put fuel in it and started making cuts.

5 when cold 40 when warm
i use 15w40 year round because it never seems to get bitter cold here.
but in the summer engines perform best with a monograde like sae 30 or 40
because they are not as likely to shear like multi weight oils.

Stopped at the echo dealer I mentioned the other day. Along with the 2.6 and 6.4oz bottles of RA they also had the 13oz and gallon jugs. The 13's are $5.95 and gallons are $52.95. I grabbed a couple 13's and some plugs!
