Yes but theres alota folks not as lucky around area lakes and rivers. The big problem here is the picture I posted of what we call Sibley lakes dams gate doesnt work so everything floods when it overflows its banksWow Keith. That's insane. Makes me grateful to live in the high desert. Not much rainfall here. Is your home out of the flooding areas?
Wouldn't you think that, given what happened with Katrina, that they would maintain dam gates? Seems kind of important down thereYes but theres alota folks not as lucky around area lakes and rivers. Your tests with a mtronic saw proved that wrong.Thoso statements I made ole buddy r facts not theory. Maybe u should listen every once in awhile instead of disagreeing and trying to prove me wrong. Read the post and think about it instead of being so closed minded
I agree several tests, more than three cuts, would be more reliable. But your tests with that mtronic saw consistently showed 93 was faster.....every cut not averages. What I do know is making 3 or 4 lil cuts with 2 different octanes like I did in my test didnt prove anything except that it doesnt take an engineer or a scientist to figure out my test was a waste of time. U will no doubt need more than u did in the 110 vs 94 test to prove to anybody that high octane produces more power in these saws which I think we r pissing into the wind trying to say higher octane is needed in these saw. I know better and Chads dyno pretty much proved it. I will say on fuels Im alil more concerned with quality instead of octanes
Logistics of that pic?
Nothing to do with dam gates with this storm. 17+" in a couple of days you're definitely inundated with storm water. That watershed drains to Red River which is currently within 3 ft. of flood stage. We collect water quality data from that watershed and surrounding watersheds monthly.Wouldn't you think that, given what happened with Katrina, that they would maintain dam gates? Seems kind of important down there
I worked Katrina on-and-off for 1.5 yrs. There were places 16 ft. under water!Wouldn't you think that, given what happened with Katrina, that they would maintain dam gates? Seems kind of important down there
Do the gates work on the Sibley dam?Nothing to do with dam gates with this storm. 17+" in a couple of days you're definitely inundated with storm water. Overflow from the spillway enters a small tributary which enters Old River. That large of a watershed, Sibley Lake, can't handle 17+"of rainfall. Also, further east you have Cane River, an old oxbow of Red River. Those size watersheds will become easily inundated with that quantity of rainfall. Natchitoches personnel call me fairly often on water quality concerns. I was actually there last Tuesday and Thursday. The spillway at Sibley is one of our ambient water quality monitoring stations.Do the gates work on the Sibley dam?
Natchitoches Times stated the gate doesnt work. Granted 17" of rainfall would be too much for it to handle at one time but it sure couldnt have hurt to have it open?Overflow from the spillway enters a small tributary which enters Old River. Kisatchie Bayou is still my favorite water quality site....best water quality in the State.
what oil is best for this chain?

On a different note I was interested in Amsoil so I went on their site and asked for a catalog to be sent to me. They paid $3.02 US to send it to me plus a promo code for a discount on an order. Needless to say I am impressed that they would go that far to do that. Time to order some sabre now.
In Wisconsin somewhere? There is a station 4 miles from my house that carried 91 E free, but stopped as of Jan. 1 they said they would have to spend thousands of dollars on a special use permit.
Now the closest E free is 30 min away. But they carry it in 89 and 93. So I'll be runnin 89, mostly for the fact that they sell way more 89 so it should be fresher
