It's running .080 twin line spool. Probably 17" circle +/-. What I like about it is its under 10# gassed up and full spool. Lighter the better for me.
I hate to say it Egg Shooter but this oil testing at 100-200:1 on weed eaters is so bad on a chainsaw forum haha.
Guy's already think going from 50:1 to 48:1 is slobbering wet and is to much oil for a chainsaw.
But tis better to be safe than sorry running 48:1 for longer life out of a saw and the massive carbon build up is worth the risk running so much more oil at 48:1 than 50:1 lol
It just confirms the belief oil is the devil less is more propaganda set by green peace lol no matter ones belief on the matter weed eaters and chainsaws are litrely chalk and cheese on there oil needs?
Run a ms880 at 50:1 on off the shelf chit dealer oil for a few tanks under a good load and many wonder in amazement at the piston scoring how can this be? Wouldn't the plug foul 1st running mostly oil for a fuel mix at 50:1 there is barely any gas in the oil? Lol
Just my 2c at the end of the day do I care about other people's stuff that would be NO they can do whatever they want it's there's..

Sorry if this sounded dickish. Wasn't meant to be. I'm just trying to convey my test are not to prove less oil is better.
I wasn't saying you are out to convey less oil is better the few dozen or more following along with your testing know this.
I'm talking the average guy already spooked by oil and how bad it is and the fact you actually don't need it in a 2T this is proof lol
Ask any new KTM sx rider how much power oil robs less is more!
My comment was not personal I was just saying omg to many you have proven 2T's don't need oil to run many will cut back on oil in there mix reading what they want between the lines lol
Do we care what they do No lol
carrying on with the testing is good stuff!
was just saying that's all...

We are good. I didn't take it personally. After all there was no veiled attempt to paint me a liar. I'm all about thoughts and ideas and debating them. This concept is why im now compelled to repeat testing with the same oils but basically no load wot till death. The fact that oil migration through an engine changes with RPM is why, in the current testing, the bottom ends are well lubed but the heat kills the top end. Rod bearing and all. Smokey I believe brought this up and he is right.

I get laser focused on one aspect and blurr out other possiblities until I'm done with the current task. I would have come around to the oil migration deal once my mind was off the current testing. Thank you Smokey7 for shining the light now so I can plan my future testing. It should hopefully flip the script and ruin other / more parts. Idk but I'll take you along for the ride. Now. I'm going riding. For reals this time.
You are an odd one Egg Shooter that makes three! Lol
You me and CR888 are a few that openly admit a good mineral oil is good chit in ope!
The internet can easily change ones opinion and perspective regardless of actual life experience on any matter.
How many times has one read I used to use Stihl orange bottle mineral oil for 20+ years in my saw's with never a problem! then they find the internet's and only run the best synthetic oils from now on lol

The Huskihl seafoam challenge unit's plug after 3 tanks of that crap mix. I topped off the 2 gallon can today and added a few glugs of oil to boot. Bet it looks purdy inside.

So now you’re going to use seafoam along with a standard mix and see if it will clean up? That’s kind of what I was referring to. I don’t know how anything could burn clean at a 12 to 1 ratio with 10 W 30 LOL

@Egg Shooter , I think You should have started Your own dedicated oil testing thread.
You know You derailed an on topic oil thread with oil tests.

My PS-6400 sat for a while, Makita 2-stroke oil at 40:1, I guess there is enough oil in the engine o_O

What???
Iffin you don't read the whole thing you'll never know what oil is best...
The oil that was considered the best at page 1 is no longer king at page 843 ! ;)

I sure wouldn't read through 843 pages of oil tossing, unless there was a chance some girls were involved - very unlikely in this case though. :p

The best oil is the one You make Your 2-stroke mix with and actually use it, instead of mixing up You cans and straight gassing Your OPE. :D

I don't actually care what oil is best, just thought it would be great to see some weed whackers blow up!!

Granted, as above.

Thanks, Adam.

Its not only full mineral oil. Its "white" food grade mineral oil with their own patented additive package. They tell you the oil is just a delivery mechanism for the other stuff. Passed 5 hrs now. Going to temp in a bit....
Don't know if you can get it down here but I'll see if I can find some to try I bet it has good ring seal thats one of the things I like about good mineral oils the lack of blow by.
