I used to ratio rite ,but was a pain keeping it clean in the pickup ,would pack a rag in it then put in a plastic bag ,i quit using it ,one less thing to clutter the truck up with now ,tried the lid for the ratio rite also ,much easier to just use the lines on the bottle ,if you are off a fraction of an oz ,your saw will not be able to tell .
I usually go a little over the line then pour extra in the gas can sometimes. My latest mix, somewhere between 18:1 - 22:1 ( forgot exactly how much I poured), smoked a little this morning in my ported 372 and 021. The 372 finally stopped smoking but the 021 didn't. Ran 3 tanks through a pole saw trimming live oak limbs using that mix. It hardly smoked at all. I did notice more oil slightly leaned out my saws. They were originally tuned for 32:1. I love the sound of that ported 372. Sounds like my old CR 80 dirt bike.

My xpw sounded like a dirt bike also

I run JASO FD 100% synthetic oil, variable brands. Used to run Mobil 1 but they discontinued that in the states. I switched to Elf Moto 2T, but that is so expensive now I have switched to Husky which is FD synthetic. I got a case of the tiny bottles on sale. When I use that up I will switch to Homelite FD 100% synthetic at Home Depot, which is reasonably priced by the quart. Frickin' oil has >>>not<<< gone down with gasoline prices.

I also run at 42.6:1, or 3oz. per gallon. A tad more ring seal and low end lube, but not so much to gunk things up. Works well on my mostly stock saw herd.

Go to http://msds.walmartstores.com/
Type in Super Tech in the second search box, it should say in brackets who supplies it. Take a look at the msds pdf sheet if not listed in the search.

Looks like Warren Dis. Inc supplies the two stroke oil.

I did it in the 2nd box and it said the 2 stroke oil was made by citgo. I've never seen the full synthetic 2 stroke stuff around here, only the boat oil

Looks like its not on the msds but its definitely at the store. I looked about a week ago and they didnt have it but they did yesterday. Looks like in the MSDS that Citgo supplies all their 2 cycle oil though

What does full synthetic mean? How much synthetic is in synthetic oil? I will tell you one of the best ways to ensure your getting what you think your getting and that is to go by price. High quality synthetics are very expensive to produce & the oil bottle/marketing spec sheet will tell very little about whats in and whats not in an oil. Whats not in an oil is probably most important. I am not advocating 100% ester base synthetics are at all the answer to lubricating requirments in a saw, but just some food for thought.

Seems there are two different two stroke oils. Search Super tech with a space and get warren, search Supertech without a space get citgo. Your right Keith, no full synthetic listed, haven't seen it up here either.

Sometimes you pay for what you get and other times you pay for a lot or marketing and fluff.
