I believe that Brian and a few others can answer that better Ben.

I’ve just mixxed another 2 gallons after trying it out with one gallon. I’ll be keeping an eye on things and report back here
To be honest I would not store a motor with any ester based oil. Especially in a humid climate like much of the US has.

I have used many different oils and brands trying to do what you guys in this thread. Some produce a dry residue and other oily residue, depending on the chainsaw, revolutions and compression also behave differently. I do not believe that an oil is the best in all cases, but I came to the conclusion that any oil fulfills its purpose, lubricate the engine, although if you find that with some type the engine gets more revolutions with the same percentage of oil and the same setting. Tested oils: motul 800, castrol tts, anova, husqvarna xp, stihl mineral, gro syn, echo, mannol, putoline and some that I forget because long ago this. In short my advice is to not forget to add oil and make the mixture approximately to a 45-1

I see. I had been using 102 and Some husky xp for stuff setting. Of course I do the small child with his toys move and fire up stuff that sets and least once a month.
Probably take me several hours to fire every single motor that I've got .............. I've gotten into the habit of leaving a one gallon container of mix with 2R handy. I dump out the regular mix and pour a splash or two of the 2R mix in the tank and run for a minute or two. I let it idle for a while so the oil builds up in the crankcase.

Why ??

I'm sure its this thread
:(
