I can smell that from here.
My kids want to know when I'm going to play, they love smelling it too !!

I've got a ton of 2 cycle oil now .............. probably wont use it all in one year, and probably wont use some of it at all.
I like 2R .............. just about no smell and once its warm, there really aint no smoke.
Nothing choking ya. Thanks @bwalker !!

$10-$11/qt

@Wilheim
Most guys here run about 40:1 mixture. I have never used the Makita 2 stroke oil. Probably the same as Dolmar, but I am just guessing.
I think the tune is just as important as the oil. Just be sure the your saw is tuned properly.
Both, Makita and Dolmar oil, might come out the same factory, but they are not identical - not as far as I can tell!
I'll see any difference once I'm back to Dolmar oil.

Saws are 4-stroking nicely at WOT no load and are below the rpm limiter - thus tune should be OK.

So what's a good detergent oil to run if I was trying to clean an old engine?
The Makita oil I am currently finishing off seems to wash out carbon nicely.
Come to think of it I might pull the muffler and take a look before I switch back to Dolmar oil.

If I buy more oil to try that's what I'm going to get.
