Ben whats the difference between the 2 PIBs in RA and Powerblend?
Can't say for certain.
I wouldnt get to excited about what you see on MSDS sheets. Nor, too excited about the use of ester base oils. I have seen some really crappy results frome ester based oils in chainsaws and other applications for that matter.
Use the stuff heavily for several years and get back to us.

What components in RA causes it to stay clean?
How do you know it stays clean given you have been running it a short while?
If it does indeed run clean the components most responsible are the base oils. PIB, mineral and Ester.

Compared to other oils that build carbon within a few tanks this oil hasnt over many tanks in anything that Ive ran it in. On their site its one of the things they toot their horn over in that it will actually clean depoists left behind with other oils in given time

@Keith Gandy kl200 does has rust inhibitors, but NOT to be used as storage oil.

Also I tested a batch for 13 months that I kept to the side. No stabilizer used and never any separation. This was with ethanol gas and I wanted to see if I could get it to separate even leaving small batch open at times. Never did.

Tech specs for KL-200

Rust Prevention: Contain rust inhibitors. Not recommended as a
storage lubricant.

I like 40to1 with both thoso oils also. Seems to work well at that ratio in ported saws, stock saws, electronic saws, and yard equipment

Maybe just to be on the safe side? They state not to use at temps below 30 degrees. Maybe just for legal reasons, as motorcycles and dirtbikes are far more expensive than our little chainsaws. Lol
