What oil is best? and what ratio?

Just picked up a bottle this week and starting at 36:1!

I saw some Ipone Stroke 2 R........$33.99 for 1 liter

Good high end oil is usually a dollar or so an oz . That's about right .
















But saws do not need oil that good to live so oil half that price works fine .

I picked up some Schaeffers 7000 yesterday for my lawn boy mower, which specs using a TCW3 marine oil.
Only ran a small amount so far.

I run Yamalube 2R @ 32:1

But that don't work good in every saw. Some M-Tronic and Autotune saws don't like the 32:1. On those I recommend 40:1.

Ran 4 tanks of 36:1 klotz super techniplate through the 661 yesterday.

St klotz looks pretty dirty to me on the ring land area. I suppose we are splitting hairs trying to find best. I'm a little surprised there is this many differences in the list of good oils tho. Thanks for testing.

I quit using the super for this reason. It would leave that cooked on benol coating IMO after running saws hard.
Been using original since and never saw one do this.

It did the same in my 550xp that I was running the piss out of to break it in. Stuck a ring in just a few tanks. I know the electronic saws dont like the Super at all

What do you meet by stuck a ring?
It's no supprise that running castor anything in a saw is bad news.

It was stuck in the ring land and wouldnt move from carbon in the land

The pic just looks like piston varnish you get from running synthetic oil. Its not desirable but hardly surprising either.
