What oil is best? and what ratio?

I guess I mean the ones that get played with in the garage and never really get ran in wood where they belong. Then one puts them in wood and expect flawless runner. I'd bet they gotta get some feedback to run right not just blipped. I just guessing tho

It should adapt to any condition but Im sure it has a learning curve that requires time?

It would start and idle on fast run but once throttle was blipped it went dead after a few seconds. Pressure checked everything and replaced a flywheel side seal. Still wouldnt idle

Yep. Never has started and idled just right and would stall after it was warm and u let it idle for more than about 30 sec. . It cut like a top though

I sure like the way the saw runs but that dang no idle is annoying

I won the saw through HL Supply but the saw came from Lee who is the owner at Lil Red Barn

Run and tune great on it and at 32:1 in 91 efree it has no smell,bright blue mixed.

I'm relieved. I won't have to stay up at night worried about those poor saws subjected to boat oil!

@jmssaws It was said that it's really light oil do you think it needs to be mixed at a higher level to protect more or running at 50:1 or 40.1 is plenty or does its needs to be run at 32.1 now this for me is run in stock saws not ported. I like the blue look mixed as well

IMO with Lucas i wouldn't go any less than 40:1. I've ran lots of Lucas at 40:1 with good results.

50:1 is probably fine but with thin oil it scares me. YMMV[emoji106]

The Lucas I have about two tanks through with my tree service sometimes you cut like all get out and sometimes not so much I look forward to running it more but like I said this is mix for my stock saws so thanks for the input always learning much appreciated.
