I can't tell you what I've been paying for gasoline lately because I stopped looking at prices and just go where it's most convenient but I can tell you 16oz cans of coke went from 2 for $2.00 a few years ago to 2 for $3.00 recently and I'm not happy about it.

an 8 pack of 12oz plastice bottles went from 4.55 to 9.50

the thing is the coke prices only actually went up about a dollar. the grocery stores are still charging way inflated prices because they are getting away with. big trucking companies buy their fuel in large 10 or 20 year quantities at once like the railroads and then pay whatever the tax changes are as they use the fuel up. the whole thing is a friggin scam and there really isnt any way out of it because the corporations own the government we are stuck with whatever bs they send us

Yep that’s identical what we pay for non ethanol petrol in Western Australia. Interesting

The prices have actually come down. Today E-free 87 octane is $3.699US/gal and E-free 91 is $4.099US/gal. 87 octane with 10% ETOH is $3.199US/gal. Prices seem to vary widely throughout this region even with the same supplier.

In my opinion non-ethanol trumps everything else when it comes to octane. I'll run 87 non-ethanol before I'll run 93 10% ethanol. However, I get 90 octane non-ethanol here so that's what I use in everything other than my pickup truck.

I can get non-ethanol VP Racing fuel with octane rating 91 to 112 and Sunoco Optima 95 octane...

Have any of you tried VP Racing non-ethanol fuel or Sunoco Optima 95 and if so, how is it?

According to the US owner‘s manual that Swabian saw is designed to run on mid-grade unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89. Octane values less than that can result in higher operating temperatures resulting in an increased risk of piston seizure.

Running big saws in big wood in warm temps today. Fresh 87 octane with ethanol 32:1 dominator seemed to have more power but saw would surge after a long hard cut.

A little older non ethanol 92 octane did not surge but maybe lacked power. Same oil.

I've been told that if you can get 87 non ethanol gas it'll make more power than 91 non ethanol. Never tested it. The only non ethanol gas around here is 91 octane.
