All I have right now is this vintage Kubota :).

Just rented the power rake for a few jobs, should have never sold mine :crybaby2:.
Not sure how many acres this is, but with my baby tractor it took a while to power rake the whole thing.
Last yr it was all dozed and new tile installed, so the first thing was to break down the dozer piles, there's one behind the trees in the lower field too. The upper pile had quite a few bees in it, lots of fun on an orange tractor .
Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 9.30.44 AM.png
Broke them down then the owner picked all the wood and rocks out and then I came back and worked the hill the rest of the way and cleaned up more wood and rocks as well as a few other treasures.
Screen Shot 2018-08-14 at 9.33.45 AM.png
I finished the rest of the field and the side of the house the next day, I also went over the ridge again.
What made this a tough job is much of it was rock hard clay and it was very dry, rough ride and dusty, but got it done.

Got to love the land up there. Do I see beans in the far field?

I like it here a lot myself, I've been all over the country, sure I could make anywhere home though.
Pretty sure that's what it is, I did everything inside them, it was a long ride. One thing I would recommend on a hydrostatic trans tractor is cruise control, but for what I got the tractor for I have no complaints.

Its a 2012 L3800 with the hydrostatic trans, been a great machine this far, I got it in 2014.
I looked at the MX 5200 the other day with the shuttle transmission. Just got to save some pennies now!

Been looking at the skids and an excavator, need to wait for the economy to go in the crapper again before I buy anything bigger ;).
I'm getting cash together now for my pole barn, getting close, same deal though, for what it would cost me to build it now in materials, I could pay someone to build it when the economy is slow and be out making a buck while their doing the work :).
If things keep going well I'll just build, but I'm always waiting for the right timing.

If you get the MX5200 you will love it - We bought the MX5800 in 2018 and it's been a fine machine for around this place it has the HST and is great for mowing and loader work. kubota_rear_small.jpg

What type of mowing?
When using the backhoe can you move the tractor without leaving the backhoe seat.
I have no idea of these things as I've been on one or around them.
Thanks

Another happy MX owner here. I bought a 4700 in 2013. Has 640 trouble free hours now. Here's mine carrying some wood last summer.IMG_20190507_145152_compress6.jpg

I do both finish mowing and bush hogging with it as for moving with the backhoe you can move yourself around with the hoe bucket for the most part if you need to make a big move than it's easier to get back into the drivers seat or have the wife in the drivers seat for that stuff :)

I love running this machine. Not mine sadly. Good friend of ours keeps it here when we clear trees from his property.

I don’t make a habit of posting up a bunch of pictures, but here’s a list.

Excavators:
-Cat 345D L x2
-Cat 336E L
-Cat 330D L w/thumb
-Link-Belt 235X3
-Cat 315C L w/thumb

Dozers:
-Cat D8L
-Cat D8R
-Cat D7G
-Cat D7R
-Cat D6R
-Cat D5K
-Cat D5G

Loaders:
-Cat 963D
-Cat 963C
-Cat 953C x2
-Cat 950G
-Cat 928G
-Cat 924K

Backhoes:
-Case 590SM
-Case 590SLx2
-Case 580SM
-Case 580SLx2

Skid Steer/Misc
-Cat 287C XPS 2 speed
-Cat 299C XPS 2 speed
-Case 465 S3
-Case 440 S3

My Cat dealer (Boyd, formerly Whayne/Walker) and I have a great working relationship, although I may be heading for a different excavator brand when it’s time to replace the old 315, 330 and the two 345s. They all have a lot of hours on them and the latest Cat excavators we’ve had out have not been as impressive as some of their competition.

6D2C14D9-B3E7-4D6D-ABEF-A414F1B1BAEC.jpeg First Volvo we’ve had out, and it’s impressive for what it is. Almost Link-Belt smooth and it burned very, very little fuel in eight hours running, mostly hammering. I can’t really compare it to anything, the only other machine I’ve been on in its “class” (>30 ton RTS) was a Cat 328 that wanted to pull itself on its face and that was a while ago. This thing is very stable, even with a long stick, pin grabber & 48” bucket.
