BTW Hole was caused by piston stop while removing clutch, had almost no resistance until it broke through.

So was it stuck open, and thus lean / low compression and ran hotter than it should even thou it’s water cooled

kinda looks like its a bit slappy in the boar

I’ve actually had a decomp stick in on a ported saw and ran a tank through it before I realized it. There’s no scoring. No irregular marks inside. I’m not certain how a leaky decomp could ever cause a 2 stroke to go lean and score

You poured oil into fuel tank on an oil injected motor. Ran it in cold weather with stock air filter modified. @Deets066

Take a piece of white paper and put some drops of the fuel on it. After it evaporates, the oil should be left behind. Try a sample from a can of each that still have a label to compare.

Genius.

Somebody Poast pitchers of all the damage they’ve done using too much oil. The rags you use to wipe off the excessive exhaust spooge will never look the same. Just throw them in the wood stove.
