Yes I do believe I'm wide on the intake and also my transfers are too wide. That's why I was planning on rotating the piston 180 to get the ring pin placement on the exhaust side.
Wide transferrs snagging a ring with the piston in the normal position will probably also snag a ring with the piston flipped. You have snags on both sides now
I'd grab another jug and learn from this one ......... widening them transferrs might look like a good way to increase flow, but the ring has to survive for it to do so.

Widening transfers is likely worse for flow. You want them to open and "squirt" mix in at high pressure. That's how I see it.

I think about drilling out the tip of a squirt gun.

Agreed !
I'd rather see fingers than wider transferrs, less chance of snagging a ring
They work a whole lot better as well

Got some time in tonight. I didn't oil the rings much. Squish .018. A bit afraid of what I'm seeing.

Opinions?

i might get kicked in the nads but with that much compression i would run a base gasket.
