I know you went a different route, but I’ll chime in on the Vortex: those Crossfire II 2-7x32 are great scopes. My wife and father-in-law both have them on their 12 gauge slug guns for deer hunting here and they work very well, with great magnification range for running, or standing, deer. Plus Vortex customer service is amazing if ever needed.
