You ever wished you had a higher power scope? What's the farthest you've shot with it?
Reason I'm asking is I had a 3x9x50 on a AR one time and really liked it on that gun but never really shot past 200 yards.

Farthest I've ever shot was around 140 yards, set on 6x. We have rolling wooded hills here, very few places where you could even try a long shot. I cant see ever needing anything more. If you decide to upgrade someday let me know, I'll probably buy that scope off you.

Heck pretty much gave it to a good friend of mine so he could put it on his AR kind of a long term loan lol

I will at some point in time. Hornady match is so cheap at the moment, it's not worth my time......let alone it's pretty dang accurate

I did good to 700 yards with it. Past that hand loads are a bit more consistent.

I know I can get out the five pretty easy I would have to do some checking to see how much farther I can get

500 works great for getting comfortable at a mid range distance. Wind will effect it enough to miss on smaller plates at 5-10mph. Wind is the one thing that will drive you nuts.

I find the same and mine likes 147 eld-m over 140s

Best bang for the buck is a fixed power SWFA under $500 besides a used Burris or something like that.

Nope, I have two and they are both on rifles. I have had excellent luck with the brand. You can find them on eBay regularly close to your price range and they have a lifetime warranty.
