Hi everyone, I've only started working on saws about a year ago. I just finished reassembly of a newer husky 440, with crank seals leaking. Still have to tune it yet. However, I've received a pioneer P21 saw from my father, that he bought new in the 70's. He said it ran the last time he used it, which my best guess is about 20 years ago. I wanted to get this thing running, so it doesn't go in the trash. I checked spark, rebuilt the carb which is a tillotson, put some fresh mix in and got it running. I am however having trouble getting it to idle. This carb seems to only have an idle speed screw and one mixture screw, unlike the stuff I'm used to with an idle screw, low and high speed screws. Any help would be appreciated. I am waiting for a new fuel filter at the moment to try first.
