You can just make out the boom of the aerial truck is the photo below. That one had a lot of work to accomplish controlling this fire.

Started around 11:00 AM this morning, it is 3:00 PM now and they are still pouring water on it. The burning building was apartments, the "creamery" on the right was being used by a local guy for his carving shop, the local lumberyard is to the left. The lumberyard appears to have escaped unscathed, the creamery will have smoke and water damage.

It’s a shame looks like a nice saw if it hadn’t been rained on for yearsI spent some time this week starting to move some supplies over and getting them organized. I also started putting some labels on saws in the display area to help the less initiated begin to appreciate the subtle differences in the models. I also added one to the outdoor display.

This one has been sitting in a leaky barn with the muffler cover missing...I didn't even try pulling on the starter.

Glad everything is okay. Happy birthday Mark. Thanks Mark. This one will be memorable for what could have happened but didn't.

Thank you. I'm pretty stoked as these are the saws that give me the fuzz more than any other. I have 3 well used specimens. I can make one or two good saws from those. I'm going to do my best to leave this one as pictured but its going to be tough not to at least pull it out, get the bar and chain on it, and place it in my hobby room on a shelf.Pretty nice find. Am I the only one old enough to remember Spiegles?

Would you leave it as pictured or remove from the wrapper and display it that way? With bar and chain of course. I'm torn.Pretty nice find. Am I the only one old enough to remember Spiegles?

Sadly, I know you are correct.Keep it wrapped.
It will never be as unique, or as valuable, outside of the original packaging.
