I got 28" .063 on my MOFO 460, and two Hybrids (CFB + MOFO), but B+C are easy to change. You should just have Mark bring up a fresh loop of square that we run on all of them.

@Cobby08 Mike said he will buy a fresh loop of 24" square from you if you bring it.
I think his is .063 3/8.
You have any .050 in 3/8,?

Jeff, I'll bring a couple of 24" .063 bars we can use (I have 2 E bars), and I'm sure I'll be ordering some fresh chain, so we can use that if for the testing if you want.

I have a 25” stihl bar I modded to fit huskies and dolmars with adapter, I can let others borrow if they need to. I’ll have it on my 7900. It’s .050 though.

Ok. Sounds good Mike. All my bars are .050

There's an fhc Michigan gtg the same weekend or Cole and I were gonna try to make it. Gonna plan on it next year.

I ported a couple Dolly's for @StrongBad. If he makes it there, and is willing to share, some feedback from a few different guys would be kinda cool. Might help me on which way to go with the next one. Thanks fellas

Wow, this is getting interesting, going to be a fun event! I think Eric will also have a MOFO Hybrid (w/fingers). Mine is sans fingers.

Bret, if it's piped, that is a 3 second penalty!
Yes I would love to join this 460 party with my mofo hybrid. Was just running her yesterday and she was 4 cycling in the cut (first time, prior it was cleaning up in the cut but now she's telling me time to lean her a bit so I did). I've got a few tanks through but would like a couple more.

@Cobby08 mark any chance you could bring a 7 pin I can buy from u? Been running the 8 pin on 28" whizzing through pine yesterday but in maple it was a bit much.

Question for u guys: when coming off a long cut and let go of throttle if she quits is that an indication of rich low needle? I thought rpms going up and down sounding like a dieseling car engine after long cut is lean low needle and quits is too rich getting a shot of too much fuel. Then I turned up LA to get it to idle higher and it's been a war between low needle and LA... I need to start over. What initial settings for low needle and LA (how many turns out from seated would u guys start? Does the LA even turn in to seat or should it try half way on the tapered part that opens the butterfly? Any ideas would appreciate. High side holds tune beautiful. May have u guys help me out if I don't get it sorted by GTG time. I'll try and get the L half way between going higher rpms lean and dropping out rich and see if it breaks this cutting out habit after a long cut...

Cheers.

Turn LA in a bunch, low 1 turn off its seat.
Back out LA until chain stops spinning.
From there it’s a dance between idle speed and acceleration.
Leaner low setting gives you an acceleration bog but faster idle.
Richer low setting slows your idle but gives better throttle response to a point.
Stalling out of a cut is usually too rich.

Usually turn in my L screw till it starts to sound lean then back out (rich) 1/4 turn. Usually this gets you in the ballpark. You might have to give more fuel on L after long cuts if it sounds lean at idle. But sounds like your rich. It should also warm start with one pull. If your clutch is worn out or the idle is set too fast you won’t be able to set the L jet properly. I set idle a little higher than factory spec so I don’t have to mess with it as much.

Perfect. Thanks! Turning LA a bunch will max low idle since it will be beyond tapered part... Cool. I'll set that and L at 1 turn and back out LA til chain stops.and hoping there it will mostly behave. If it cuts out long cut I'll lean the L little bit at a time and then back the LA a shade if RPM rise makes chain start turning. Transition has been fine -- accelerates well.

Now I gotta find some more big wood to cut. Hopefully we will have some at next weekend's tree job.

Hey Mason. Yeah the clutch might be weak. I check that with a tach and had to get down to 2500 or so to get chain to reliably stop. I'll try again with recipe above and see where I get. This is a new OEM carb I believe btw.

Your H screw is out too far. Too much fuel in the case for it to idle after a long cut. The L probably will need some adjusting too

It's definitely still rich on the H side. WOT it does like 13.7 k and this saw will probably still 4 cycle at WOT at 15k.

Will see how leaner H helps things. Thanks for the tip. It's time to lean out the H more as it was 4 cycling in the cut under load whizzing through pine, couldn't get the 4 cycling to clean up. I leaned it to get it to just clean up in the cut but is probably still rich.

Next outing will try and get her dialed in. It's has plenty of break in now.

Thanks again.
