A tree from a few weeks ago. Had to rig most of it down. Homeowner wanted us to leave that knarly stub. Pretty neat to see how much the split closed up after we got it down to the main crotch.

Yes English ivy on the base. Thank goodness it was not covered like some trees I have done. White oak. The split in the truck was big enough to fit my hand in when we started in the morning. Glad there was a few adjacent trees to climb and rig out of. The ends of the limbs were probably 20 to 25' beyond the little shed. It had a ton of head weight and a wicked lean. It wanted to eat that little shed.

So I'm privileged enough to remove this from my wife's ex-step-mother-in-law's unmaintained rental property....

The root ball is over a creek. The background sound is water running in the creek. The two leads appear to be pressing the tree towards the barn.
It's 32" or so beat guessing...

What would be the best method of attack?

It's hard to tell from the video. I always try to clear the house first to minimize any more damage to it. But with what you have there it is a tough call. If you remove the canopy weight the root ball is big enough to stand back up with stem attached. If you buck the stump off the remaining tree could roll into the house and cause more damage. I would probably start with the brush first make small cuts and seem how it reacts.

It doesn't bother me....
P.I. I have a serious reaction to.
It's everywhere here.
When I weed eat I wear a hat, glasses, high neck long sleeve shirt, long pants, socks and boots. I shower immediately after with cold water and dawn dish soap... But still will have a few areas that break out.
