Have you ever tried Zanfel. I have used it when I get poison and like it . It is kinda of expensive though.

Monster Red Oak in Athens, Alabama down in the Oak Grove community.
I'm amazed at how massive Red Oaks can grow!

Red Oak is not my wife's favorite.
Yet, I found out if I split it a little smaller the funk smell departs early and it'll season within about 9 months here.

There was so little wood to saw, I was just 1/4 throttle or so. All went as planned. Hollow tree's are scary.

Didn't notch either "limb". Sawing the first one, I heard a big pop. Definitely a shot of adrenaline. I went back to it and finished the cut no issue. the other one needed a finish cut from the opposite side, my 42 wasn't long enough. It came down no problem too. the base wasn't bad either. I got lucky? Fugger was pretty rotten!
