Mike does a super nice job. High attention to detail. He builds strong saws and caters to exactly what you want.

Yep, Mike is one of the greats. Ironic bringing him into this now, the last 880 he did was nice!

I don’t get to post in here much...don’t take too many trees down. Today we knocked down 2 of these. 1 had another twin growing with it and the other one had 4 that had to be taken separately. Like a slacker I only got the 1 pic. One of the stems was a little bigger than this one. 28” bar on an xS2175

What size trees can the buncher cut? The harvesters they use here dont cut anything bigger than 3 feet. Normally they dont cut anything over 2 feet tbh.
It really depends on the felling head, the operator, overall height and weight of the tree, and of course slope and terrain. I’ve seen them cut some good sized trees, but their safe, productive limit would probably be not much more than the machines in your area.

It got a bunch of pitch in the flywheel. It was just a slurry at one point coming out of the kerf. The saw didn’t want to restart very well after that tree. It got all over the ignition area, and I believe that is why it was hard starting. We’ll found out today.

Oh, and the starter was sticking after that “sticky” situation.
