Got a call from a fella yesterday who is having some trouble with a 6 month old 572 I ported. I told him about the tank vent deal....and he's gonna try that.

Was your 572 given a little extra strato timing to get it at least back to what it was. Not sure if you cut base and squish...

It absolutely could be rebuilt, I am however electing not to put another top end on it. Im too much into it and I am utterly and completely frustrated. The cylinder somehow became scored again and I just haven't got the money or the patience for this saw anymore.
