Redemption for Mr Rutkiewicz. Some of you may remember we believed this saw hung a ring resulting in totalling the jug n slug. It is now our believe a failed carburetor components caused a lean condition and caused it to fail. The main nozzle, we think.

So the new top end is on it and ported, now we just need some carb parts for it.

If there was it was hard to tell with the whole ringland smashed out of the piston...I never got to check out the cylinder itself

Be careful with ring end gap. Added heat can make the ring grow more than the manufacturer planned for. I’ve had .009” lock up twice on a 52mm saw

Jay Rutkiewicz is liberally harassing Zama to give us parts for the carb as opposed to buying a whole carb.

I'm pretty livid about the money I have into it at this point. If anything else happens to it I'm going to port it with my fvcking 243 win.

Alright, the 572 has come home and is mechanically repaired. Its going to head to the Dealer this week to have the fuel settings reset and the latest firmware installed. I will hopefully have a running update to the saga this week.
