Great news Dom, can't wait to see it at a GTG!!!
If there was it was hard to tell with the whole ringland smashed out of the piston...I never got to check out the cylinder itselfTrying to remember the carnage pics...was there transfer from being lean?
Be careful with ring end gap. Added heat can make the ring grow more than the manufacturer planned for. I’ve had .009” lock up twice on a 52mm sawRedemption for Mr Rutkiewicz. Some of you may remember we believed this saw hung a ring resulting in totalling the jug n slug. It is now our believe a failed carburetor components caused a lean condition and caused it to fail. The main nozzle, we think.
So the new top end is on it and ported, now we just need some carb parts for it.

I passed that along to him, Kevin. Thank you for the information!Be careful with ring end gap. Added heat can make the ring grow more than the manufacturer planned for. I’ve had .009” lock up twice on a 52mm saw

What's the 20 on the dumpsterLast I heard, Dominick was throwing his Husqvarna saws in the nearest dumpster and was going with a Stihl.

Jay Rutkiewicz is liberally harassing Zama to give us parts for the carb as opposed to buying a whole carb.Any update???
I'm pretty livid about the money I have into it at this point. If anything else happens to it I'm going to port it with my fvcking 243 win.Last I heard, Dominick was throwing his Husqvarna saws in the nearest dumpster and was going with a Stihl.

Don't be trying to keep us away while you're dumpster diving MikeNot sure I believe that, but it was funny!
Frustrating that its either been in transit or on a bench more than in my hands. All well.Very sorry to hear that … I know you were looking forward to it.
Best of luck with what you decide.
I appreciate the words! I wouldn't accept a gift, it isn't me. The sentiment is very kind however!Dominick, this thread has been such a bummer and I feel terrible for you. Watching you talk about never having a new saw and the sheer excitement on your face, like a kid at Christmas, brought a smile to my face. These little toys can sure make us grown men happy.
Here's to hoping things work out for you. If I was rich, I'd buy you any saw of your choosing right now and I mean that sincerely.
