Dang it,

Once again I'm late to the party. Do you have a 20 and 28" Lg Husky 3/8" .050 L and T in stock? If so, how much, and what do they weigh?

Thanks!

Just bought my Stihl 20" L&T from him last month. Great guy to deal with, super quick shipping.

I have a good source to buy them cheap but there all solid. An angle grinder with cut off wheel followed by die grinder & burr allows you to remove bigger sections than the real L&T bars. Its a bit of work though but I am really surprised how rigid & strong they turn out. Great bars.

Never mind guys, I found the weights on both, thanks though. If anyone else was wondering the 20" is 2.3lbs and the 28" is 2lb 15ozs.

I'm impressed with how light they are, and your prices fordf150. I plan to do some reading to see how these bars are holding up. I've been beating my brains out trying to decide between a 390xp or 661cm. I'm just not sure all the bugs and best way to port the 661 has been worked out. (I love Stihl btw) but I'm leaning hard towards the 390xp. I don't see a ton of complaints, seem's to be the preferred saw by fellers in the PNW, and I've read they lend themselves well to porting.

fordf150, as soon as I decide, I'll be looking you up. Thanks again.

As far as I know, that batch is cheap because they got the wrong paint (model identification) on them?

Mis-printed bars from Jono & Johno?
Nup not John&Jonno, they come like that from Tsumura Japan like that I believe that before the epoxy filled L&T's the solids were called L&T too. They bar cardboard packaging does not have L&T on it though. I've been getting them for five years like the pic I posted, I got a bunch of them in various mounts & lengths.

If you download their 2016 catalogue of all their products they have L&T written on ALL their bars whether laminate, hardnose, solid sprocket nose, solid RSN and Reduced weight bars. It appears they are ALL L&T but we associate the reduced weight ones with L&T. Their catalogue is a 34page PDF you can D/load. The older 2014 catalogue was different from memory.

I've tried explaining this before.

When I bought out all of those NOS bars, I had a couple of 28" Solid RSN bars that had to be well over 10 years old(probably 20) that had Light& Tough painted on them.

I can load pics but can't load my PDF catalogue :( Jon is correct but its confusing as everyone thinks the L&T's are the reduced wieght bars when Tsumura refers all the bars that way. The company name is Suehiro Seiko.co.pty Japan. They are making blanks for logging supply companies like Comstock, Total etc. I think they are the best value top quality bars I can get. Cannons and Sugi's cost me 3x the price where I am. While I have four Sugis and a Cannon fatbelly race bar, worksaws running Tsumura is good as I can swap tips between bars and create mongrel bars like 16".404/063 which you can't buy off the shelf. Makes a nice limbing combo on my 681 Solo or MM660:eek:.

I'll check with @exCanuck to see if I can exceed the 12.3MB limit, and get the catalogue loaded up somewhere. Maybe it's time to start a guide bar information Sub Forum. With manufacturer specific threads, like we have for each saw brand?… I have some really good Windsor info I have collected, from Ray Benson, as well as my own research.
