Be careful with torque charts and Metric grade 10.9 and 12.9 screws with low thread engagement, torque charts are usually calculated to load the fastener to ~80% tensile strength and pay no regard to the bolts conditions.
A metric 10.9 is about a sae grade 8 bolt, a metric grade 12.9 fastener does not have a sae equivalent and is quite a strong bolt, one that will easily strip out magnesium if the bolt doesn’t have enough thread engaged in the case.
Some top muffler mount bolts for example, very short and rated at significantly less than the bolts capability.
