The biggest difference I found was how a square filed chain cuts on the side of the tooth, useful when cleaning up the undercut. I cant make them cut 30% faster, I accually have not tested but it doesnt feel alot faster and also the price of files and how fast they wear when converting a round to square... I bought 10 bahco but they are not very good, I think the triangle type cut faster.
