1948 Frazer Manhattan, if the engine is fixable I’ll keep it original but it will be a low budget build for sure. If the engine is not fixable I will go with a more modern drivetrain (whatever I can get from the scrap yard). This project probably will take a back burner to other projects for now. I didn’t plan on buying it, but I like the car and I felt like I had the chance to save it from the crusher so I bought it.

They guy broke his contract and backed out and is selling none of the cars. The auction company is suing him now.

Picked up this 084 with a 25" Oregon b/c today. Has a few bumps and bruises but runs well. Excited to get it in some wood! But first I gotta put chain on the right way (previous owner had it on backwards...)

Did you start it before taking it home?

I did, it fired and that was good enough for me. Was a pretty shady character and I didn't want to hang around much longer. After seeing the chain and sprocket I'm going through it carefully before I use it. Found a couple of screws missing too.

Not a chainsaw, but ‘snagged’ something good, for good coffee from Goodwill, at a good price. Once you start looking into these, they seem to have their own culture surrounding them.

Jesus dont post a picture of the serial number! Haha.
When I first moved to SC I needed a push mower ,found one on craigslist. When the Misses and I went to pick it up I told her not to get out of the vehicle. I handed 50.00 over to a 90lb adult( shaky) man and took off with my new Murray push mower.

I have 2 now: a ‘3-cup’ and ‘9-cup’ (2oz espresso ‘cups’); both resale scores for a few dollars each. Each needed a replacement gasket, which cost almost as much!

*Don’t put them in a dishwasher!!!*

Have seen them in an amazing range of sizes, and in stainless steel along with the classic, cast aluminum.

Similar to chainsaws, I can make good coffee with the inexpensive ‘clone’ version, but once you use the classic Bialetti . . .

Still have my eye out for a 6-cup.
