Troof! I stripped a bunch of good usable parts off of a toasted 55 recently, and shipped them off to Damn Near Canada, USA.
Go for it ,maybe this can be a get rid of your junk thread

I still have my wild thing I pulled it apart a good time back piston was pristine I sold firewood as a kid and used it every day after school for years I ran it bout 7 8 years ago for the hell of it
Broke a fuel line and now it sits half assed apart but never would throw it away I'd give it away but not pitch it in the trash

Back before I joined chainsaw forums there was very little use for old saws, they just cluttered up the shops so they got tossed fairly often, usually with a part or two missing. I have seen times where a dumpster had several hundred old saws tossed in. Matter of fact I seen a dump truck load going just a month ago from an old milling operation.
